Your safety net, not a leash
Access to a senior GP live, on every consultation, is a training and safety net a rural locum position can't match. Supervision is structured by tier based on your years of HPCSA registration.
Tier A
< 2 years registered
Close supervision. Real-time MP oversight on defined actions. iScript does not currently onboard Tier A CAs.
Tier B
2–4 years registered
Near-real-time supervision. MP countersignature required on defined actions within a 5-minute response SLA. Available for onboarding.
Tier C
5+ years registered
Periodic supervision. MP review on a 30-minute SLA. Greater autonomy, with escalation for out-of-scope presentations. Available for onboarding.
iScript currently onboards Tier B and Tier C Clinical Associates only. Tier A onboarding will open as our supervision infrastructure matures.
What you'll do
High-volume primary care, within your HPCSA-defined scope of practice, with a clear escalation path for anything outside it.
Primary-care consultations
See patients across clinical verticals suited to CA practice — acute presentations, chronic follow-ups, wellness checks.
EDL prescribing (Schedule I–IV)
Prescribe from the Essential Drug List within your scope. Non-EDL items require MP countersignature — handled in-system.
Sick notes (up to 3 days)
Issue sick certificates up to 3 days directly. Longer periods require MP countersignature.
HIV testing, PrEP & chronic follow-ups
HIV testing, PrEP initiation, and chronic-disease management follow-ups for hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and more.
Escalation to Supervising MP
Anything outside your scope — red flags, complex presentations, Schedule 6 — is escalated to your Supervising MP instantly, in-platform.
