iScript is a telehealth practice operated by Dr. Chomba & Associates, Inc (hereinafter "iScript"), with BHF Practice Number 0558419. Our registered address is 10 Kruin Street, Klopperpark, Germiston, 1406, Gauteng, South Africa. iScript operates as a group practice providing telehealth consultation services in compliance with HPCSA Booklet 10 — Guidelines for the Practice of Telehealth in South Africa. All practitioners registered under the iScript umbrella are independently HPCSA-registered healthcare professionals.
By accessing or using the iScript platform (website, mobile application, or any related service), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the platform. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and iScript. Use of the platform by minors requires the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf.
iScript provides telehealth consultation services with HPCSA-registered medical practitioners. These services do not constitute a replacement for in-person emergency medical care. In the event of a medical emergency, call 10177 (ambulance) or proceed to your nearest emergency department immediately. Consultations conducted through iScript are subject to the limitations of telehealth as defined in HPCSA Booklet 10. Certain conditions may require in-person examination, which your iScript doctor will advise you on. iScript practitioners may not prescribe Schedule 6 substances via teleconsult, in accordance with HPCSA and Medicines Control Council (MCC) regulations.
iScript offers teleconsultation services via video call, telephone, and secure chat. Consultations are provided by HPCSA-registered General Practitioners, Clinical Associates, and Specialists contracted to the practice. Standard consultation fees are as displayed on the booking platform at time of booking. Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice. Medical aid submissions are made on your behalf where applicable, subject to your scheme's benefits and pre-authorisation requirements. iScript is not responsible for refused medical aid claims. All consultations are private, encrypted, and comply with POPIA requirements. Consultations may be recorded with your explicit prior consent, as obtained during the booking process.
Electronic prescriptions (e-scripts) issued by iScript practitioners are legally valid prescriptions issued in accordance with the Medicines and Related Substances Act 101 of 1965. iScript utilises the iScript e-prescribing system, compliant with current DoH regulations. Prescriptions may be transmitted electronically to a partner pharmacy for fulfillment and home delivery. iScript is not a pharmacy and does not dispense medications directly. Prescription decisions rest solely with the attending doctor.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will not be refunded. No-shows (failure to attend without prior notice) will not be refunded. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Patients agree to: provide accurate and complete medical history information; not misrepresent their identity or medical status; use iScript services only for lawful healthcare purposes; not share or resell access to their iScript account; comply with all advice provided by iScript practitioners; seek emergency care when advised to do so. iScript reserves the right to refuse service or suspend accounts where these obligations are breached.
iScript is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). We collect, process, and store personal information only as necessary to provide our services. Your data will not be shared with third parties for commercial purposes without your explicit consent. All content on the iScript platform — including text, graphics, software, clinical protocols, and AI-generated materials — is the intellectual property of Dr. Chomba & Associates, Inc or its licensed content providers. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or use is strictly prohibited. The name "iScript", the iScript logo, and associated brand marks are registered trademarks of Dr. Chomba & Associates, Inc.
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, iScript shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, economic loss, or harm resulting from reliance on information provided through the platform. iScript's total liability in connection with any claim shall not exceed the consultation fee paid for the specific consultation giving rise to the claim.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of South Africa. iScript endeavours to resolve disputes through internal processes before pursuing legal action. Complaints may be directed to practice@iscript.co.za or to the HPCSA if they relate to clinical conduct.
iScript reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email and in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
